The annual Valparaiso Popcorn Festival is happening this Saturday, September 12th. This is the 37th year that the festival has been going on and it has been voted by the residents of Northwest Indiana as the “Best Festival of the Region”. There are things to do for people of all ages. Family fun, craft booths, tons of food booths, kid games, live music, and the famous Popcorn Parade are all something you should expect to see at the fest.
Pre-Event Activities
Daily lunch and dinner under the ChicagoLand Popcorn Tent located in Central Park Plaza hosted by different local charities and businesses each day, Cutest Baby Contest Finals and Hot Wheels Contest. View the website above for full schedule.
Popcorn Festival Day Activities
7am to 6:30pm – Craft, Food and Fine Arts Booths Open
7:30am – Popcorn Panic 5M Run/5K Walk (hosted by the Valparaiso Parks Dept.)
7am to 6:30pm – Kid’s Poppin Play Place Opens – Inflatables & Games
8:45am – Lit’l Kernel Puff Race (Kiddie Run – hosted by the Valparaiso Parks Dept.)
10am – ChicagoLand Popcorn Parade
11am to 6:30pm – ChicagoLand Popcorn Food Tent and Main Stage Beer Garden Open
12pm to 6:30pm – Main Stage Entertainment
12pm to 6:30pm – Front Porch Music Stage Entertainment
